Led by Joshua Herne, this locally owned and operated business has been serving the Northern Rivers community since 2019. Specialising in a wide range of services including facility management, security guards, vehicle patrols, cash-in-transit, staff escorts, CCTV installation, and alarm monitoring, Herne’s Security has quickly built a reputation for professionalism and reliability.
While this may be their first year as an official Gemfest sponsor, their connection to the event runs much deeper.
Joshua’s story with Gemfest began long before his business was established. As a child, he was a member of the Lismore Gem Club—where he discovered a love for gemstones that still holds meaning today. In fact, his favourite piece is an agate cabochon he made when he was just 10 years old.
When Herne’s Security launched in 2019, Lismore Gemfest became one of their very first clients—and remains one of their longest-standing partnerships. That ongoing relationship makes this sponsorship even more special.
For Joshua, being part of the Northern Rivers business community is something he truly values.
